Rain or shine, we look forward to seeing you all on Thursday, May 20 at Green Out for PALS!

Below you'll find a few details that we hope will help you navigate the event. Please be sure to pre-register, details below.

Date/Time

Thursday, May 20 from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.

Location

Goode Company Armadillo Palace, 5015 Kirby Drive, Houston, Texas 77098. We will occupy The Backyard, The Hall and The Patio. The outdoor areas will be covered with a tent and we also will occupy indoor space, so the event will go on rain or shine!

Attire

GREEN Out!  If you’re bold, you can wear green from head to toe, or simply accessorize with green. Whatever floats your boat.  Also, dress for the season.  It’s late May and we’ll be both inside and outside, so cool is key.

Parking

At Armadillo Palace, it’s self-park or self-pay.  The venue requires valet for on-site parking.  Valet is $6.  If you choose to self-park, you’ll have to use side streets or nearby parking lots at your own risk.  Uber or Lyft is another option.

Health & Illness Policy: COVID-19 Safety Information

Please do not come if you are sick. Many of our volunteers work or live with children affected by Leigh syndrome. We want to ensure this event does not accidentally expose a caregiver to any contagious disease, especially COVID-19.

Upon arrival, volunteer nurses will conduct touchless temperature screenings. If you register a temperature greater than 100.4, you will not be admitted to the event. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Additionally, while masks are NOT required, we strongly encourage you to wear one upon arrival, as you register, during temperature screening and anytime you are not actively eating or drinking. Please help protect the vulnerable.

Registration

At registration, you'll check-in and receive a program, two drink tickets and a paddle for the live auction. We’ll also make sure your user profile is up to date, which includes saving a credit or debit card.  To help ensure a smooth check in process, please pre-register your information prior to event night by texting GreenOutPALS to 76278.

Payment type

Credit and debit cards are preferred forms of payment; however, we will accept cash for some of the on-site purchases such as event swag and the 50/50 raffle.

Seating

We have open seating

Menu

Goode Company’s famous bbq sliders with chips, salsa, quac and queso to start, followed by passed heavy hors d’oeuvres, including goat cheese and roasted tomato bruschetta, smoked beef tenderloin and horseradish cream crostini, mini smoked chicken taquitos, campechana cups and more.

Bars

Two bars and a beer and wine trough will be open to keep the lines moving. Upon arrival, each person will receive two drink tickets to use for house liquors, including margaritas, house red and white wines and domestic and specialty beers.  After a guest’s tickets have been spent, they can switch over to a cash bar.

Auctions

We have both silent and live auctions this year. Silent auction bidding will take place online.  Live auction bidding is LIVE so get ready to raise your paddle!

Other Giving Opportunities

Event swag (PALS koozies) and a 50/50 raffle (you give and enter to win half the pot) will be additional ways to give back to PALS. If you have friends who can’t join, but want to donate, please direct them to GreenOutPALS.givesmart.com.

Musical Guest

We are thrilled to have country music singer-songwriter Max Flinn and his band to grace the stage this year!

Volunteers

This event will be manned by volunteers, including the clinical staff who care for patients with Leigh syndrome and families impacted by this disease.  We are expecting a large crowd so please pack your patience!

Thank you all so much for your support!
